HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

We had a great call with Elder Eli on Sunday! He looks well, and we’re pleased that, as Spring has arrived, all digits and nose tips are accounted for.

Hello all!

Happy Mother’s Day! I’d just like to start by thanking all of the exceptional mamas that helped me get here! Thanks to all of you! Especially, I’d like to say thank you to my own mom. Mom, I want all of missionary blogdom to know that I love you so much and I’m so grateful for all you have done and all you continue to do for me. You are an angel, and our family is lucky to have you. Thanks for all of your love and patience and kindness. Thanks for making me laugh all my life and being one of my best friends. Thanks for being such a good example of Christlike love, and thank you for your testimony. I love you mommy I love you mommy I love you mommy!

Well, onto my week. This was a good one! It was so awesome being able to see you guys (and you extended guys, and Sherrie Cromar). Liza, the girls are getting so big! And what the heck was up with Gunnar? They’re all so big! I missed hearing and seeing all of you, so that was a special treat. I’m glad the house is still recognizable. Max, you look happier; Mom, you haven’t aged a day (Bethany says you’re gorgeous); Dad, your beard is getting pretty white (Silver Fox, amiright?). Technology is wonderful! Mother’s Day was great.

It was also my birthday this last week (I’m still accepting well-wishes)! We had a big zone meeting the same day, so two missionaries in my district surprised me with cakes! There was a chocolate and strawberry one, and a chocolate banana one with peanut brittle! Delicious! That was just one of many things that made the day special. I also got excellent packages from you guys and Hannah, so that was a wonderful way to start the day. The Earls (where I Skyped from) invited us over and we went and had a fire in their backyard. It was a great way to turn 20. (And now you’ve seen baby Nixon, and now you know why I’m obsessed.)

We meet with Kathy (who just got baptized) quite regularly. Since I’m probably getting transferred next week, and since she’s going on vacation tomorrow, we met yesterday for the last time (at least while I’m in Coronation Park). It was great! She got Elder Jolley and me little stuffed monkeys that she said reminded her of us, and she wrote us both beautiful notes. In the note she told me that I’m not only her teacher, but I’m also her friend and brother. She also said that she likes to think of me as one of her guardian angels. She’s so amazing! Our mission president gave a standing promise that no matter where we’re serving, if one of our converts goes through the temple when we’re on our mission, we can go through with them. That means even if I’m serving in High Level, if Kathy goes through the temple, I get to come. How amazing is that? She’s so stellar. I’m so grateful that Heavenly Father allowed me to be a part of that process.

I’m really grateful for the time that I’ve had with Elder Jolley, and I love him a lot. I’m also excited for this next phase of my mission, and I’m so nervous to see where I’m going and who I’m going with! The Lord has taken really good care of me so far, and I trust that He’ll keep doing it as long as I’m doing what I’m supposed to! Thank you all so much for your love and support! Keep it coming! Thanks for reading!

Keep the faith,
Elder Eli Webb
